The First Nashville Irish/Celtic Music Festival
The First Nashville Irish/Celtic Music Festival

This was the first Celtic Music Festival in Nashville, and Peter Brady and I were the headline act. I played guitar, tenor banjo and accordion, in addition to bodhran, and sang harmony vocals that night.

A Parcel Of Rogues, who later became The Rogues, were great movers and shakers in establishing a “seisun” atmosphere around the mid-state, and still do, through various still active members.

This was the show where I first met Elizabeth Reed, who was also on the bill, singing a cappella, and that led to me producing her thereafter.
